World events, social media, news channels and so much more are constantly seeking our engagement. Meditation is a practice that has been around for thousands of years and continues to be a valuable tool in achieving spiritual growth and self awareness. One of the most common obstacles for beginners is the ability to quiet the mind. In some cases it becomes an inner struggle to try and not think. Many teachers recommend focusing in on the breath. So how is it that many of our clients who have never practiced meditation before achieve such a powerful internal journey? Maui Sound Healing uses a variety of sound disciplines designed just for you! Kirtan, for example, is a call and response form of prayer mostly done in Sanskrit. Kirtan engages the ears, the mind and the mouth. Benefit is achieved with comprehension of the mental plane. Simply listening helps one develop the spiritual journey. With the use of carefully engineered soundscapes, binaural beats and isochronic tones are at the forefront of modern technology and are being explored for their success in PTSD and neural plasticity. Lastly, sit back, relax, and just make your self a receiver and observe your natural internal movement. What thoughts and feelings come up for you? Do you feel uneasy?
